Green-tinted Glasses - MinK 2023 Anthology

In 2023, I entered the MK Lit Fest's creative writing competition for their third MinK anthology installment. That year's theme was 'Green Spaces in the City'. I was thrilled to be shortlisted and have my work published in the physical anthology.

I knew I wanted to detail a city in which green spaces were found in unlikely places, but also felt that the typography needed to be more compelling. I had an idea to weave the letters of various shades of green throughout the verse (see boldened text) as an ultimate metaphor that green can in fact be found everywhere.
